Time to dabble a bit again in the highly interesting ACID line.
The tip has a fresh hey smell while the foot has more of a cedar, woodsy smell.
The foot on this stick is not cut clean as per usual. Instead the wrapper leaves are folded over the filler and tamped flat. If there is a name for this style, please let me know in the comments.
Very firm roll from end to end. Just that right amount of give. the cigar overall has a very fresh woodsy smell. The wrapper leaf is veined beautifully. Not overly veined, more like the prominent veining found on some Connecticut wrappers. Nicely textured and just the right amount of surface oil to be felt.

Pre-light with an Aranciata
Just like most cigars in the ACID line, you can taste it the second it hits your lips. Very unique flavoring. Savory and sweet at the same time. A bit buttery and some spices I can’t place. Not overpowering but nice.
The folded and tamped foot made for a quick even light.
Nice smooth draw using a punch. Just perfect for my tastes actually.
Very woodsy flavor… exotic, aromatic hardwoods and fine Nicaraguan leaf.
When the smoke combines with the tip flavoring, it blends well. It seems to make the tip more peppery/spicy. nice blend.
Of all the ACID cigars I’ve tried, this is the only one where the depth and fullness of the tobacco flavors totally overwhelm the essential oils and herbs in which it is cured.

Nice tight ash!
According to everyone around me, to them it was a delightful smelling cigar. To the point of attracting the curiosity of strangers asking what I was smoking.
Consistent draw from start to finish . It stayed nice and even and never got too hot. I will say that around halfway, the external flavoring was mostly gone which really changed the blend of flavors and made the sweet spot truly nice and exotic.
Not so much “in your face” flavored as some of the other ACIDs this to me is more of a very exotic, woodsy maduro. I wish I could place some of the infused flavors but it’s such a nice blend that it’s hard to isolate particular flavors, but very woodsy with smooth buttery undertones come to mind. Exotic, aromatic hardwoods and perfect Nicaraguan leaf.
I’ll file the Drew Estate JAVA Atom Maduro on my “Most definitely” smoke again soon” list
